As reported by the professional journal Global Arbitration Review on 30 September 2011, headlined “Chinese arbitrator to sit on Zimbabwe cases”, “A professor of law at Xiamen University has been appointed to two tribunals hearing claims against Zimbabwe, making him the first Chinese national to sit at ICSID.”
Reaching eminent academic achievements in the field of International Economic Law, inter alia, International Investment Law and International Commercial Arbitration; Author and/or Editor-in-chief of more than 40 academic books, many of which have been designated or selected as textbooks or reference books for use in Law School and Business School in China’s universities. Author of numerous academic articles published in both Chinese and English leading journals. During recent 30-odd years, consecutively winning 18 first class and 11 second class academic awards of PRC’s national/ministerial/provincial level.
