The Fourth International Congress on Atrbitration focused attention on major issues, it fostered friendly dialogue among experts from many nations, and it moved toward a network of arbitration institutions. The author, one of two AAA representatives at the Congress, reports that the meetings demonstrated that "although there are external differences in economic philosophies and in arbitration procedure of different nations, all of our arbitration systems are alike in their objective of seeking to provide justice in international commercial affairs."
