On 25 January 2008, the Argentine Republic (Argentina) filed with the Secretary-General of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) an application (the Application for Annulment) requesting annulment of the Award of 28 September 2007 (the Award), rendered by the tribunal (the Tribunal) in the arbitration proceeding between Sempra Energy International (Sempra) and Argentina (together the Parties).
