In today’s interconnected world, international arbitration plays a key role in resolving cross-border disputes. Digitalization, dealing with updating processes and workflows more broadly than digitizing data, has greatly simplified the interaction of arbitrators, lawyers and parties, allowing efficient document exchange and communication over long distances. This progress, however, is accompanied by serious cyber risks.

Given the importance of confidentiality and maintaining the integrity of the arbitration process, all participants need to pay special attention to the challenges associated with cyber threats.
