This book is said to be an updated and revised English version of its Swedish predecessor from 1999. The initial, Swedish, edition offered one of the first comprehensive analyses to the new Swedish Arbitration legis-lation, in particular the Arbitration Act in force as of 1 April 1999: By virtue of this translation it is now made available for the international audience as well.

Professor Lars Heuman during his many years of academic study has indeed acquired in-depth knowledge in the area, and might be the best person to systematize and share this knowledge, which – thanks to this work – the arbitration community will have the opportunity to widely use for many years to come.
