The Rwanda Ministry of Justice has presented to the public a new national conflict resolution policy aiming at handling disputes using alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

The document is a rare governmental examination of the use of conflict resolution across the society it governs. The September 2022 report provides insight into how the nation—which in July marks the 61st anniversary of its independence and 29th anniversary of its liberation—can improve dispute resolution in matters throughout the country, including government offices, business transactions, and in community and family matters.
